How it works

If you’re not sure where to begin, you’e not alone.

Many people come to us unsure about:

  • What type of exercise is right for them

  • Whether they are better suited to individual or group exercise

  • How to get started

We’ve designed our process to make things clear and straightforward.

1

Initial assessment visit

Your first step is a one-on-one session with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.

This allows us to understand:

  • Your goals

  • Any pain, injuries or health conditions

  • Your current level of activity

During your initial assessment, we will perform testing to assess your movement and strength.

This helps us build a program that’s right for you.

2

Your personalised Program

Based on your assessment, we create an exercise program tailored specifically for you.

Once your program is created, you can choose how you would like to continue.

Individual sessions:

  • One-on-one support

  • Ideal if you prefer closer guidance

Small group sessions (max 8 people):

  • Each person follows their own program

  • Supervised at all times

You don’t need to decide this on your own – we’ll guide you.

3

Ongoing support

As you continue:

  • Your program is adjusted as you improve

  • We monitor your technique and progress

  • We perform regular assessments to track and review your results

  • We change your exercises as your needs change

Everything we do is designed to keep you progressing safely, efficiently and with confidence.

Is this right for you?

You don’t need to be fit or experienced!

An Accredited Exercise Physiologist is a university-qualified health professional who specialises in using exercise to manage chronic conditions, injuries and improve physical function safely.

No referral is required to get started. You can book directly with us. However, some people may be referred by their GP or specialist.

Many clients are eligible for Private Health rebates. It is best to check directly with your private health insurer if your policy includes Exercise Physiology for individual and group sessions.

We accept Medicare referrals from your GP for Chronic Disease Management Plans. A valid referral from your GP is necessary to claim a Medicare rebate.

Your first appointment includes a discussion about your health and any conditions or injuries you have. It is a good idea to bring any relevant medical reports.

We also assess your movement during this appointment. It is best to wear clothing you feel comfortable exercising in and to wear closed in shoes.

There is an initial consultation package cost that includes two 45-minute consultations along with a short exercise session trial period. The total cost of this package is $175.

Our membership options include:

  • Ongoing memberships: $15–$25 per session (depending on frequency) paid fortnightly in advance. There are no contracts and you can cancel or place your membership on hold at any time.

  • 10-session passes: $25–$29 per session. This membership is better suited to people who attend less frequently (once a week or less)

  • Individual 30-minute guided exercise sessions: $61.50 per session

With all options, you only pay for what you use, so we can put your account on hold if you need time off (full weeks only).

The initial consultations are 45 minutes in duration. Our group exercise and individual exercise sessions are 30 minutes in length.

Yes. Many clients use a combination of both.

You might start with individual sessions and transition into group sessions as you feel more confident.

Some people continue with a mix of both long-term, depending on their goals and preferences.

We’ll guide you on what’s most appropriate for you.

No. They are not generic classes. Every person in the session has a program specifically designed for them and is supervised by an Exercise Physiologist.
